The additional 2 hours are approved training hours and may also be used toward your licensing requirements. These additional hours are for the purpose of providing additional training in the areas of sanitation, nutrition, and safety. Only courses offered by the CACFP staff are eligible to count toward your additional 2 hours, unless prior arrangements have been made and approved by the Butte 4-C's CACFP staff. A new topic is offered annually and chosen based on provider requests.

bullet

In April of each year, the Butte 4-C's offers a variety of courses at their Annual Conference. CACFP providers who still need their nutritional training may attend one of the classes offered that meets the above topic areas.

Warning: The conference fills up fast and there may not be an available opening in the class of your choice. It is advisable to complete your training early.

Additional 2-Hour Nutrition Training

Fruits & Veggies - More Matters is the theme for the 2007-2008 year.

Eating fruits and vegetables is part of a healthy diet for both children and adults. Finding creative ways to encourage fruits and vegetables in everyone’s diet can be fun and educational. Check your calendar and newsletters for dates, times, and locations.

Annual Conference will be on April 19, 2008

Watch for additional nutrition classes to be offered.
